Som tidligere nevnt så er Milsluker’n en entusiastisk støttespiller for The Russian – Scandinavian Kayak Expedition 2018. Milsluker’n gjør dette sammen med flere av våre leverandører, som P&H Kayaks, Kokatat padlebekledning, Werner padleårer.
Turen er i rute og planlegger med start fredag 2 mars kl 1000 fra Oslo kajakklubb/Lysaker brygge. Turen har også fattet interesse intetnasjonalt. Nedenfor er et innlegg i det britiske Ocean Padler #62:
Russian – Scandinavian Kayak Expedition, 2018
P&H Custom Sea Kayaks are proud to support the Russian – Scandinavian Kayak Expedition, 2018. In March, geologist, oil explorer, and lifelong adventure enthusiast Erling Vaagnes, along with ex-military and owner of Med Stein pa Tur, Stein-Fr Kynø will embark upon a never before attempted 7500km expedition, which takes them through the Russian Lakes and the Belomorsk Canal to circumnavigate the Scandinavian Peninsula by kayak, starting and ending at Oslo Kayak Club, Norway. On their way, the two plan to follow the old historic Viking route from Sweden to Russia, as well as kayaking the old Pormor trade route between Northwest Russia (the White Sea) and Northern Norway.
For this unprecedented expedition spanning more than 200 days, with some unsupported sections of over a month in length, Erling and Stein will be paddling Cetus made in P&H’s latest Superior Kevlar/Carbon Infusion construction, truly putting this new construction through its paces and aiming to prove its exceptional stiffness and durability.
